AICMOHQ vs Otterly
Otterly is built to watch the score.
Updated October 2026 · 3 min read
Quick verdict
- A visibility gap becomes an FAQ, schema, blog, or social draft in the same approval queue
- CLI and MCP for the terminal and for Cursor or Claude Code, with approval still in the dashboard
- Drafts can use the product brief and a connected repo, not only a prompt list
- Teams that want affordable multi-engine AI search monitoring, citation tracking, and content recommendations, and will write or publish the fix themselves.
- More answer engines, on purpose
- A lower published entry price
Otterly is an AI search monitoring product: prompt research, citations, share of voice, and content recommendations across many answer engines, with a published entry around $29 a month. AICMOHQ is the approval-first fix loop for SaaS teams: the SEO and GEO agent finds the gap, and FAQ, schema, blog, and social drafts wait in one queue until a person approves them.
Feature by feature
8 things a solo founder actually asks about, grouped by where they sit in the loop.
| Feature | AICMOHQ | Otterly |
|---|---|---|
| Tracking | ||
| Daily multi-engine prompt tracking | Not shipped. Configured scans can probe ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini, and a scheduled scan skips a product whose score is under 7 days old. AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot, and Claude are not in that probe set. | Public pages list ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, and Claude. |
| Citation and share of voice | Citation share appears when competitors are listed on the product. Without that list, the scan follows your brand. | Prompt research, citations, and share of AI voice are the core public product. |
| Site and crawler audit | The GEO checklist reports robots.txt for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and related crawlers, plus JSON-LD, llms.txt, sitemap, and thin client-rendered pages. It reports the gap. It does not rewrite robots.txt. | Public pages describe content audit, crawlability, and GEO recommendations. |
| Fix loop | ||
| Gap to a draft you approve | FAQ and JSON-LD article drafts, blog, and social posts land in one queue as drafts. A person approves before anything is public. Approved GEO articles open a GitHub pull request. | Recommendations and content briefs. Publishing stays outside the product. |
| Repo and site context | The positioning brief comes from the product. Connected GitHub history can feed drafts. | Built around prompts, citations, and the site audit, not a repo. |
| Workflow | ||
| CLI and MCP | The aicmo CLI and MCP can draft and manage the queue. Approving stays a dashboard step. | A reporting API for prompts, citations, and reports. Not a founder CLI. |
| Human approval before publish | Approve is the default. Agents cannot approve their own work. | You act on the report. There is no publish queue to gate. |
| Pricing | ||
| Starting price | Pro is $49/mo for 2,000 credits. | Published entry around $29/mo for AI search monitoring. |

Where Otterly is better
If these matter most to you, Otterly is the better pick.
More answer engines, on purpose
Public pages cover ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, and Claude. AICMOHQ probes ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini only, and not on a daily cadence.
A lower published entry price
Otterly's public entry is about $29 a month. AICMOHQ Pro is $49 a month for 2,000 credits.
A reporting API for the score
If the job is exporting prompts, citations, and reports, Otterly's public API is the fit. AICMOHQ's CLI and MCP draft and queue work. They are not that reporting API.
Pricing
Every agent action has a credit price you see before it runs. Credits reset each billing cycle and don't roll over. Otterly's published pricing is shown alongside.
Founding 100 access is paid. See plan pricing for details.
Switching from Otterly
Connect the same accounts
When your invite lands, connect the LinkedIn and X accounts you use in Otterly. Add Reddit if your buyers are there.
Point it at your site and repo
The Research Analyst finds useful context and the Content Lead drafts the first week. Every draft lands in your queue, not on your feed.
Approve, then the Publishing Strategist ships
You approve each draft in the dashboard; agents can't approve their own work. From the CLI or MCP you can list, edit, and schedule what you've approved.
Questions
Is AICMOHQ an Otterly alternative?
For a team that wants monitoring plus the fix, yes. Otterly is the stronger pick when the job is a cheap, broad scoreboard across many answer engines and an API for those reports. AICMOHQ probes fewer engines, and it does not claim a daily multi-engine tracker.
Does AICMOHQ track ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews every day?
No. Configured scans can probe ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. A scheduled scan skips a product that already has a live score younger than 7 days. AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot, and Claude are not part of that probe set.
What happens after AICMOHQ finds a GEO gap?
FAQ and JSON-LD article drafts, along with blog and social drafts, wait in the approval queue. Nothing in that queue is public until a person approves it. An approved GEO article opens a pull request in the connected GitHub content repo.
